Staff and lively atmosphere was great! Food not so much.

This place provides first-rate service as well as tasty food. One of the best restaurant in town. The food came out quickly and the rates are economical. I recommend this place.

I made a reservation here to celebrate Thanksgiving this year - or should I say, Friendsgiving. Compared to some other places I found in the Bay Area, I found their prices and offerings to be more reasonable. None of us had been here before so we didn't know what to expect, so we were all pleasantly surprised! Since it was Thanksgiving, the mall was closed and it was easy to find covered parking spots nearby. In terms of the actual food, there was a choice of salad (meh) or mushroom soup (better!) to start. The main included turkey (a generous helping that was more than enough to eat), mashed potatoes, and stuffing. Family style sides were sweet potatoes (with marshmallows!) and green beans. Finally, for dessert, there was pumpkin cheesecake. Needless to say, we were all stuffed by the end and could hardly eat another bite. That being said, since I've only been here this one time, I honestly can't speak to it on a "regular" day basis, but my experience was great overall :)

Fantastic food, really good cocktails. Will be back again. Love it.

Good quality food.I have to take one star for the high price and another one for the lack of full transparency on pricing : they offered a halibut choice for their Fresh Fish Tacos, but the menu doesn't mention nor I was informed by the bartender of a $4 additional charge (the total was $25 dollars for two halibut tacos). I did appreciate when the manager charged me only the price for the standard salmon tacos.

Came in with my wife last night. Absolutely loved it. The food was terrific! I really loved the steak and my wife adored the Mac and cheese. Our waiter Cody was terrific as well. Very attentive and friendly. He even listened to us ramble on about our recent vacation. Made us feel special. Atmosphere and ambience in the restaurant is great as well! Definitely coming back. The food is amazing!

The food was really good. I had a lettuce wrap burger and roasted brussel sprouts and both were superb. I would definitely recommend trying it out.

We came here because I liked how they advertise their sourcing practices and we live close by. I got the New York steak. I asked for medium rare but it came more on the medium side which was fine. The cauliflower side was very good. My wife got the Asian chicken salad. The food came really quickly which I loved and the waiter was very friendly. The food is definitely on the pricey side.

The food was good. The artichokes were yummy. I ordered their special trio, which has ribs, fried chicken and grilled shrimps skewer. My ribs came out cold, like not room temp, but cold and still tasted good probably because of the sauce. I sent it back anyway because I couldn't stand cold food. My hubby got the $42 rib eye steak, which I thought not worth the price, but he liked it.Peach cobbler was yummy. BTW, when my second round of food came out, some of the shrimps was uncooked. At that point, I was done and full already.

I know this is a larger chain and serves comfort food in equation-like taboo. However you have to give 5 stars here. First of all, this place is like a better version of CheeseCakeFactory or TGI Fridays in terms of food and atmosphere. It is contemporary but isn't shy to serve up a greasy Monte Cristo sandwich which is heartful. Presentation again fits the modern look and feel but then there is "heart" in the cooking and the way they handle children's meal. Due to the dark color and atmosphere, one might feel that this is more for a modern young crowd that likes to go out on parties. And it very well may be. But surprisingly, families have a great time and I see families coming back with kids time after time. Finally the price. Very very reasonable considering atmosphere and food quality. Definitely will return.

1st time here and this place is a definite Recommend!!! Luis was our server and he did a great job! 12 of us and he was on point. Food was really good and we left stuffed! If you are in the area and looking for good food and service, stop in to Paul Martins.

Large bar with a good selection of appetizers and snacks. Everything on the menu is available there. Flat screens with sports (no PAC 12). Burgers to fillet and a full bar. Decent selection of wines by the glass. Screened off table for 12 for groups.

Food is okay. For the price, expected tastier food. The calamari was really oily. The sauces weren't as good. The French onion soup packed enough bread. The cocktails are nice, without being great. They did have great service. The server gave us ice cream for kids on the house. One extra start for that!

I had really high expectations for Paul Martin's. The exterior and Decor of the restaurant are beautiful but that's pretty much where it ends. The waitress in my opinion wasn't very friendly. I told her that it was my daughter's birthday and she didn't even so much as wish her a happy birthday. The food was mediocre at best, I ordered a fried chicken special which was very Bland although the sides that came with the meal where decent. If presentation was everything I guess they would get a higher rating form me.

It’s very conveniently located for us. We’ve been there quite a few times. We always have a good time. Staff is great. That being said, the food is just ok. More specifically, for the price, I would expect something a little more creative, more surprising.

Excellent food and a fun place for a date or family time.

Overall the food is good and the service excellent. We took advantage of the happy hour menu, and ate quite a lot and spent about $30 pre person. The ahi tuna lettuce wraps were my favorite by far, followed by the prosciutto flat bread. The chicken wings were not very good, and the short rib tacos were too greasy. The artichokes were tasty!

Had a excellent experience in this spot with my wife. The food was served quickly and the service is just excellent. Prices are convenient.

Quite disappointed. Hadn’t dined here in 2 years and the quality, presentation, and professionalism have really declined. The salmon plate was a soup from all the juices of the greens, the sauce on top completely covered the salmon. The skirt steak was fine but low quality and the fries were all tiny- bottom of the barrel. Our onion soup was all cheese and no broth or onions. Artichoke dip wasn’t much better. We could hear kitchen staff whistling and yelling merrily. Arriving wait staff were happy to change out of their jackets and hats into aprons in the main dining room. This restaurant was never a fine dining experience but it was a cut above TGIF, Cheesecake Factory, Chili’s etc. No longer.

Service was ok but food taste was like store bought then put on the plate.

I went here with my wife as a date occasion and we had a wonderful time. We got the Brick Chicken and Braised short rib. Our waiter was very attentive and knowledgeable of the menu. The restaurant was reasonably priced and service is pretty good.

While the food and alcohol gets the job done, the price is way more than I would prefer to pay for it

Service was above average. Menu is varied but a little too modern for my taste.

I visit this place a lot since I work nearby. I got to say their service is always excellent and they keep the spot clean all the time. Rates are affordable and they serve generous portions.

Been back many more times and still a nice place. Good staff, good management. Excellent food and appetizers, service is great. Where do they find such nice people to work for them... a good restuarant has good staff, and good staff usually work for a good restuarant. And a good restuarant means they have good management. Then yes this is a wonderful place to go to eat and hang out.

I expected better. Our waiter didn't really even bother being attentive and we only got what we (waited & waited) asked for; bread, water, our orders... I had the Buttermilk Fried Chicken-. it was fried way too hard. My friend's fish was full of bones. I hope that was their JV squad and not the norm. Still, I doubt I'll go back.

Pretty terrible at the price point. The food was on par with cafeteria food.Spinach and artichoke dip was cold when they bought it out, had a refire, and gave complimentary bread that was warm on the outside and cold in the middle. When the server brought the new dip out some of the chips spilled out on the table with no apology or any bother to try to replace them. Ribs tasted like riblets from a tray, brick chicken was in this bland sauce and it came with croutons that probably had no business being on the plate. Will not be returning or recommending. It's unfortunate, the location is beautiful.

It was 4.5 stars. A nice food selection and a pretty nice wine list. Even though it is fall they still had grilled artichokes on the menu and they were very good. The crab stuffed prawns that were wrapped in bacon and grilled were large and delicious. The filet was perfect. The place was busy, yet the staff was attentive and on their game. I'll be back.

Cool contemporary restaurant that serves California cuisine. The ambiance is lively and they have a few different seating areas including the main dining room, various private dining areas, a large bar area and a patio area. Food is good and the prices are reasonable for a place like this. I usually come once every quarter and I'm not disappointed.

I arrived for a party reservation, was well received and service was very good. Can't say enough about the food, but that it was delicious. I recommend the salt & pepper Shrimps, Pork BBQ Ribs and the Mac and cheese. Great drink selection. Definitely recommended!

Food was ok, service was great. Don't know if I would go back though. A bit over priced for the quality of the food.

Foods are too oily, dry and salty. Overall the place is great

Would I come back: I wouldn’t make a special trip but I would eat here again.Food: Prime Rib with mash - 3/5 - Standard faire in my mind. The meat was tender and tasty. Nothing too specific to write home about.Service: 3/5 - Standard serviceAmbiance: 3/5 - It’s quite spacious and casual.

Honestly they where all out of my first 5 choices of beer and the steak I ordered was out as well BUT the waitress was honest and awesome and made great suggestions to alternative beer and steak and I loved them. I am sure it was an off night for the menu (even though what I had was great) but the waitress made up for it with all around amazing customer service. Definitely suggest coming here and ask for Jordan!!

The ambience is great and service s wonderful but food is mediocre and a bit bland (Chilean seabass). This is my first time here so maybe it's just an anomaly?

The place is right side Macy's in downtown San Carlos. parking is easy Northeast when we came there because there is a parking structure in front. The food was okay reminds me very much of Friday's. The staff was really friendly although I have to admit the service is slow. They also have a full bar which is a big plus.
